Rally for plunder?

Ex-PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson led some Lumad individuals in protest this afternoon in the University of the Philippines and Commission on Human Rights.

Apparently, she brought with her the suspected perpetrators of the Lianga Massacre last 2015 in Surigao del Sur. CEGP President Jose Mari Callueng blasted Uson for "deception" through rallying with murderers who defend land plunder.

"Mocha might be losing her mind for rallying alongside with murderers. This is a clear political maneuver to deceive the people into defending the plunder of Lumad ancestral domains."

Callueng also called her out for "foul politicking."

"Mocha is thick-faced in promoting serial killers to aid her foolish campaign bid for Congress," he said.

Uson recently filed her congressional bid as representative of AA-Kasosyo party-list, which was mired with controversy over the use of pork barrel.

According to indigenous people school Alcadev, the supposed Lumad datu was Marcos Bocales, head of the paramilitary group Magahat-Bagani, who was suspected of murder to Emerito Samarca, Alcadev director, Datu Bello Sinzo and Dionel Campos. The group is notorious of killing the Lumad for fighting against corporate aggression to their ancestral lands.###
